Overview
Describe your process, and Lucen AI drafts an editable flowchart, right on your slide. It builds native, fully editable PowerPoint shapes, so you can update them directly on the slide. There is no separate tool and no re-exporting.
A) Generate a flowchart from a description
Step 1: Click Generate With AI
On the Lucen Flowchart tab, in the Home group, click Generate With AI.
Step 2: Describe your process
In the AI pane, describe your process in plain language. List the steps in order, and include decisions and handoffs where they matter.
Step 3: Generate
Click Generate. Lucen AI drafts the flowchart as native shapes on your slide in seconds.
Tip: A clear description gets a better draft. Name the steps in sequence, call out decision points ("if X, then Y"), and mention who does what when handoffs matter.
Try this prompt:
Map our customer support escalation process. A ticket comes in, and Tier 1 tries to resolve it. Unresolved tickets go to Tier 2, then to engineering. The customer gets an update at each step.
Lucen AI will prompt you if any clarification is needed.
B) Refine it with Lucen AI
Once you have a draft, you can use AI to make refinements:
Add a step: "Add an approval step before the last step."
Restructure: "Turn the last two steps into a decision branch."
Simplify: "Combine the review and approval steps."
Lucen AI updates the flowchart in place, and every shape stays native and editable.
C) You stay in control
Edit any part of the flowchart directly on the slide.
As you adjust the process, connectors stay attached, and auto layout cleans up the spacing in one click.
Colors and fonts follow your presentation's theme by default, so the flowchart matches your deck.
The flowchart lives in your deck, so anyone with PowerPoint can open and edit it.
Plus plan. Lucen AI can also turn a pasted image of a flowchart into an editable diagram.
