What's happening
We've updated how logging in works across Lucen Timeline. The first time the Timeline add-in opens after this change, it may show a message on the ribbon asking you to log in again. This is expected, and it's a one-time step.
Your subscription and license are not affected. You don't need to buy anything again, and your seat stays assigned. You just need to log in once on the new screen.
What to do
Step 1: In PowerPoint, on the Lucen Timeline tab, open Account and choose Log In (or click the login prompt on the ribbon).
Step 2: Enter your email and select Next, then finish logging in the way you normally do:
If you have a password, enter it.
If you use Microsoft or Google, choose Sign in with Microsoft or Sign in with Google.
Step 3: You're logged back in, and your timelines and license are right where you left them.
After you log in, you stay logged in. Your session is remembered for about two weeks, so you won't be asked every time.
If it keeps asking you to log in
Make sure you're using the email address tied to your seat. A different address or an alias won't work.
If you don't receive your verification code, see Didn't get your verification code?.
If you recently created a Lucen account and can't log in on the desktop add-in at all, you may be on an older build; install the latest version of Timeline, then log in.
If the prompt keeps returning or you can't get past it, see How to troubleshoot login and access issues with the Lucen Timeline PowerPoint add-in or contact [email protected].
